I'm sorry, I just have a hard time with hyperlinks. I have a file with a number of interconnected families. So I have numerous Genomaps. Jack Smith is married to Lucille Baker. I want to show them on both GenoMaps, the Smith GenoMap, and the Baker GenoMap. I can put them both on the Smith GenoMap, linked as mates. Then I hyperlink them both into the Baker GenoMap. Then I try to connect them as mates there, by using "link as mate". However, when I try to complete the connection by clicking on the second one, I just get transported back to the Barratt Genomap. The copies of Jack and Lucille on the Baker GenoMap remain separate, not connected as mates.
Am I doing something wrong? Thank you!

You are not doing anything wrong - that's what happens. The work-around is to create a 'New Family', then link each parent to the Family Line. If you are generating a report on the whole tree remember to designate one of the Family Lines as 'Make Label / Exclude From Report' under the 'Summary' tab of its properties, otherwise you will have duplicates in any report.

This is because for GenoPro 2011/16, hyperlinks are for Individuals only, not Family lines. If possible just have the family line on one GenoMap. With GenoProX you will be able to put any entity on as many genomaps as you like.

Indeed. The hyperlinks for GenoPro 2016 was somewhat a hack: it was implemented as an individual pointing to another individual, however it creates all kind of problems. In GenoProX, objects (individuals, families, relations) have a data component and one (or many) view components. This means the same individual, or family, pedigree link, picture, may appear into the same and/or multiple GenoMaps with different view attributes (position, size, color).

Sorry, I guess I'm really out of it. So this GenoProX presently has the capability to handle Hyperlinks for both spouses?
But if I buy it for $29, I will need to pay for upgrades? Any idea when those will be needed, and what they will cost? Thanks for the information!

I'm afraid I don't quite understand you on this, Howard. Do you know of anyplace that explains it more fully? I can't find anything so far...
