The ability to select an ancestor and show visually all descents by blood and by marriage is very useful. The one problem I have with this feature is doesn't seem to jump across genomaps. Have I missed something or is this not currently possible? If it isn't in the program it would be useful to add this feature. Also let me say how much I love this program. The user interface, ability to see family tree immediately on input of data and report functionality is better than any program I've tried. I have even got two of my family members to switch. Keep up the good work!John R

rankinj (1/8/2006) The ability to select an ancestor and show visually all descents by blood and by marriage is very useful. The one problem I have with this feature is doesn't seem to jump across genomaps. If I got it right you are asking weather selecting descendanats of an individual in GenoMap1 will select his descendants on GenoMapX? If so, then this is currently not possible in GenoPro. Dan is the one who can say if this feature is possible to do in the future of GenoPro.

This feature is possible in theory. Internally, GenoPro selects every descendants and/or ancestors, and then removes those not found in the selected GenoMap. The problem is how to "select" indivdiuals in multiple GenoMaps. The only solution would be to select the descendants and ancestors within the Table Layout.
