Wording like x and y have no children yet could be offencive to people that have been married for 40 years wanted children but could not have similar type of wording in other topics can also create problem when visitors to a family tree do not realize that the report is created by a computer and not by the tree author. - got rapped over the knuckles for that by family;)

Do you have a suggestion for better wording? Thanks.

If this is a problem then you can generate a custom skin and edit Dictionary.xml as follows
replace line
<PhFL_ T="{ }[{?!2}They {0} no children[{?1} yet].]" />
with
<PhFL_ T="[{?3}never generated]"/>

This will prevent any 'Family Line' comment when the 'Family Line' in the GenoPro 'Family Properties' window is left blank.

It is probably the 'yet' which is offensive. Why not omit it to leave the simple statement of fact: 'They have/had no children'?

On balance I think it is better left blank. You can use the 'Family Line' setting no more children to add it if required. This gets translated in the report to 'There are no children' or 'There are no more children' depending on whether or not the family contains children. It is better a user has to take some action to add an item to the report rather than it appear by default when it may not be wanted and could even be incorrect (e.g. researcher has not discovered the children).
I'll make the change for the next Report update.

Ron

I am using 2b19f.

I have a couple on my family tree who were married about 15 years ago and now they are about 80. The Family Line option I left blank and got translated to 'They have no children yet'. A similar problem to the above. I looked at the other 3 options in the Family Line list and none of them appeared to be correct.

I agree with your comments above and under this case (left blank and unlikely to have children in the future) it is best to translate be be blank with:

<PhFL_ T="[{?3}never generated]"/>

Thank you for this solution.

Using 2.19 I have a marriage which is set as 'No more children'. The report translates this ambiguously as 'There are no some children'
