How do i add a sister or brother to my grand mother without adding my grand mother's mother?

That's quite unnatural. You would need to delete her parents after creating their new daughter, whilst leaving their family line in place.

You could also create a new family, which is just a horizontal line, and place it above your grandmother; link her as child. Create the sister and link her as child also.

You do not add siblings, only children to parents. If you are starting from yourself, press 'P' on the keyboard, which will add two icons for father & mother. When you have them, select one of them, or the horizontal line joining them, and the press 'S' for son or 'D' for daughter. To add details you select an icon and press 'Enter' to open the menus
