I know that I can enlarge/reduce the size of the fonts I'm using, but is there a way to know what size that is, relative to font sizes in other programs? For example, in MS Word, I know that if I select Arial 12, I know what I'm getting in font size in relation to a 8.5x11 sheet. As I try to optimize pages with the increase/decrease font function, it is awkward.

The actual size of the letters will depend on the size or extent of the GenoMap so font sizes are expressed as a relative dimension, not absolute font size. You can juggle with the type size by altering the number of pages used in the Page setup menu

Thanks. I've been playing with that page setup function, alternating the number of pages and the scale factor. Problem is though that I don't get a good feel for the size of the text until I print a sample page out. If I could start from a "standard" font size, I think I could more easily manage the font size and number of pages to print out a genogram. Of course, I am probably not using genomaps as I should for I would like to display the 500+ descendents in my family on one genomap, without having to print a 30 x 2 foot long banner (which is easily readable) vs a 10 x 1 foot banner (that is barely readable).

GenoPro cannot do magic with printing. If you have 500 individals, you will need about 10 pages to print your family tree. A zoom of 100% gives you a printout similar to what you see on the screen. Try printing 500 names on a single piece of paper, it would be unreadable; now immagine printing a family tree of 500 individuals where you have to print squares, circles and lines. It is just impossible to fit such a large family tree on a single piece of paper.
