| I would be nice to be able to take the application and data to other computers. This way you could use public computers at a library to enter data while researching. Ernie

You can install GenoPro on a USB memory stick. GenoPro's installation takes less than 6 MB, which leaves plenty of room for your genealogy data and pictures.

This way you could use public computers at a library to enter data while researching. Most public libraries (in UK at least) would not allow use of external drives/devices. The only way I have been able to use such facilities is to download information eg pages from a web site and save it to the local Desktop and then email it home. This assumes you have an email that can be accessed from the web

Some customers install GenoPro into the "My Documents" folder where they have write access.

I tried to install to a USB drive but when I ran it from another computer, I had to re-register.
The beauty of the U3 software is that you take the registry settings with the USB drive. When you remove the USB drive, it leaves no trace of the software or registry on the computer.Ernie

We plan to move many (if not all) the configuration into an xml file so the configuration and user settings can be copied, replaced or deployed on multiple machines.
