Can you instruct me the steps to put individuals in a seaparate directory? I have more than 2000 individuals and it's so hard to mantain the files in the server when a modification to the tree is done.

I need to know wich files I must modify, where in the file and how (I'm not an expert guy, sorry).

Thanks for your replay.

Not sure exactly what you are trying to do. GenoPro can have all individuals in one file but with 2000 you need to split this so the display is understandable. A suggestion is a maximum of 200, although I have examples of double that.

The GenoPro approach is to group a sub set on separate displays ie genomaps but preserving links between individuals who occur on more than one display. In this case all individuals are in the same file.

If you want to, it is possible to have separate files, for example family branches, and use external hyperlinks to get from one set of data to the other. In this case you will have separate files but the disadvantage is that the Report Generator will not include the linked data.

If you want instructions on how to split a large set of data the Help file contains a video and there have been several descriptions on this forum.

Does that answer your problem?

Sorry. Report Generator creates an htm page for each individual in the tree. So, I have more than 2.000 htm pages that I need to put in a separate directory ("Individuals" for individuals, "Families" for families). Now, for example, genomaps are stored in a directory called "genomaps".

I tried to put individuals in a separate directory modifying Config.xml:

Report Template="individual.htm" OutputFile="Individuals/{Name.LastOrLast2:25}-{Name.FirstAndMiddle:35}-{id}.htm" For="Individuals" LoopItemName="i"

but other links in the generated pages are missing (the path looks "Individuals/Individuals/{name.last}.htm").

For style, in individuals.htm: Report.WriteLn "../style.css"" type=""text/css""/>" was ok.

I hope this explains better. Thank you.

There may be other difficulties, such as the links from the SVG to the HTML and vice-versa.
