Thanks to the privacy settings we can exclude living individuals from the report.  Everybody in my family is happy with that.  However, I recently discovered we are related to the Royal Family and of course some people would like to make this visible in our tree.  But since the current Royal Family is still alive, they are excluded from the report due to the privacy settings.

Would it be possible to have certain living individuals included in the report anyhow, despite of privacy settings that would normally exclude them?  Maybe this can be done with a custom tag?

Hopefully this will be in the next version. A more complex privacy filter was tried in early Betas but caused problems and so this was put in as an alternative minimum feature.

I would add the privacy filter at object level, at least for individuals and families. Each individual should have a privacy flag with (for example) three settings: keep every details in the report, exclude from the report, mask in the report (i.e. show, that there is an individual in the tree, but remove details, so the individual cannot be identified). It may also happen, that a non-living individual should be excluded from the report, due to family reasons.

Similar can be applied to unions - and further for other objects, however, I do not know, does it make sense to filter locations or occupations, for example.

This was my exact issue today. I want to include living people, but limit what info about them is published. I want to include only their full name/birthday & birthplace/marriage date & place (or divorce)/pictures. But I don't want to see their time-line or contact info, and such things as occupation/education/residence...

I really like the idea of a tiered privacy option. Full include/Full exclude/Mask this info (and then there is a long list of items to exclude/include in report). As well, it would be great to be able to do that not just with a single individual, but to be able to select "All Living" and apply the mask across all of them. And then you can edit an individual for finer control, like for yourself.
