Go to the Windows Control Panel and double-click on the icon Add or Remove Programs.  Windows will display a list of installed program.  Select GenoPro and click on the button Remove.

The other option is to delete the folder where GenoPro was installed (typically the folder is found at C:\Program Files\GenoPro\)

Had already done that thanks. I think the problem was I had saved things to folder and they were still there. Anyway deleted the folder now, just tried search and nothing came up so hopefully I've done it now .

Just found it a bit complicated to use (may just be me being a bit thick don't know!!)

thanks again

Heather

Just found GenoPro a bit complicated to use (may just be me being a bit thick don't know!!)

If you find another software easier to use, please let me know.  We want GenoPro to be easy to use for everyone.

Brother`s Keeper...

It can display multiple information about individuals, like date&place of birth, death, marriage...
And you can display your Family tree in several ways!

It would be great, that GenoPro could display several information about individuals at once!

Can you tell us what will be in Gamma?

Sorry but I disagree regarding Brother's Keeper. I regularly look at genealogy products, not because I want to find an alternative to GenoPro but just out of interest. Brother's Keeper may be able to display sections of a family tree in different ways but it cannot display the whole tree in the fashion of GenoPro nor does it hold the same amount of data. In addition, unless I missed it, it has nothing like the wonderful Report Generator.

Heather, I did extensive research into all the products available before purchasing GenoPro, although admittedly it was some years ago. I found some lacked the ability to display the whole tree in the traditional fashion, others did not hold all the amount of data I required. I would urge you to persevere with GenoPro as, once you get used to the way it functions, you will find that it is not complicated. I have friends who are virtually computer illiterate using it!

Bob.

The one thing I liked about Genopro was the fact fact you could see the whole tree, maybe I didn't give it enough time, I imported the whole tree, then I wanted to split it up into the main different surnames, so having more than one genomap, does that make sense? coulnd't find out how to do it??

The online help files are fairly comprehensive - eg GenoMaps: http://www.genopro.com/help/genomaps/

Hi

Me again!!

Okay ive looked at tree with a view to splitting it up, with each main familiy having own genomap, but the whole thing seems to be all over the place i.e. families are connected but aren't close together!  so I'm having trouble placing a family in another genomap because its difficult to get all members of family together? I am just being a real idiot?? Have I made a mistake by downloading the whole family tree all at once?

Heather

From your description it sounds as though you have imported a Gedcom file, which can result in a poor arrangement of individuals especially with complex trees.

GenoPro allows you to select 'families' by right-clicking on an individual and using the Select option (or the toolbar buttons). This is partly explained in this tutorial: http://www.genopro.com/tutorials/videos/splitting-a-family-tree/. You can also do multiple selections, although this can be tricky.

Using this technique you should find it simple to select the families to move to new GenoMaps. Once they have been moved you will find it much easier to rearrange the individuals.
