Could someone provide details on how I can add my own background to my published genogram so that the same background displays on all framed pages (heading, left side, and home page)? I know html coding very well…just need to no which document(s) require editing.

Please provide answers to the following:

- Which document(s) should be edited (default.htm, individual.htm, heading.htm, home.htm, family.htm, style.css, all individual pages, or ?)
- Should the edited documents reside in the same folder as my genogram report in My Documents folder, in the Program Files/GenoPro folder, or both folders?
- Should the background html coding be entered under the “Document” tab in the Generate Report window?
- Should the background html coding be entered in all of my 400+ html pages to display the background I want so that when I click on an alpha letter, the page that displays, will have my preferred background?

Many thanks for your help.

Regards

Normally changing the display should be good enough by editing "style.css"
Make sure that the path to images and/or different font is correct and loaded when creating the report.

Replace 'background.jpg' in the Images folder of your report.

Doesn't work...still displays GenoPro's default yellowish background...replaced background image and renamed with a different .jpg file name...replaced file name in the style.css, but still displays default background.

You need to use the same file name "background.jpg". Delete the common one from the skin you are using, then copy yours to the directory and rename it to "background.jpg" If you use this skin to generate a report it will work.

There is no need to maintain the name of the background image to background.jpg
You can name it to any name you want. You just have to make sure that the path to this image is correct.You can put your background images into the image folder or what I do is to hold my images in another subfolder in a customized skin(i.e. myfiles). In this case I can have several different background images in this folder. In style.css point to this folder for your new background image. Next time a new version of the narrative report comes put your myfiles folder into the new skin and replace the style.css file. If you want to change the background to another image, replace the background image name in style.css only and keep the path.

I have tried to change my background image by renaming mine from back.jpg to background.jpg and copied it to the Default Theme images file as well as an images file in the main body of the Skin that I use for other pages and also my  img file for other pages.
All this I copied to my Test Skin but when I generated the report none of the pages show this image

I have looked at the Style.css but can only find a colour code rather than an image and am not sure how to change this to an image

Line 45 - body.gno-heading {background-color: #F6EAA2;margin: 0px;}
                body.gno-index {margin: 0px; overflow-y:hidden;}
                body.gno-detail {margin:0px; padding:8px;}
                 /* body.gno-popup {} */

                svg {overflow: hidden;}

                table.customtagtable
                {
                font-size: 0.830em; empty-cells:show; background-color:#F6F6F2;
                }
                th.customtagtable
                {
                background-color:#FBF5D1;
Line 59 - }

Where do I go from here?

The problem here I think is that the stylesheet doe not actually reference a background image, just a background colour.

Try changing line 39 of style.css

from background: #F6F6F2 none);
  there is actually a syntax error there, none) should just be none  (whoops)

to background: #F6F6F2 url(images/background.jpg);

and ensure you select default theme in config param options.
