I just did my genogram for a class assignment and was instructed to save it as a pdf file. How do I do this?

For any file I have needed to convert to a pdf, I usually just right click on the file, select Print, then instead of selecting my Printer, I select Adobe PDF.After that, the Adobe wizard takes over. I'm running Adobe 7 Pro - so I'm not sure if what you are using will do that though. edit - forgot to mention - you will need to Export your Genogram as either a Text or EMF file first for this to work. Adobe can't read the .gno file type.

The above is normal way to create PDF from .gno file, but needs Acrobat Pro, which is commercial package and you need to buy.
For a free option, I use CutePDF writer, which can be downloaded from http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/Writer.asp,
This program needs you to install free program "GhostScript" which can be downloaded from the link on the CutePDF link above.
To create PDF of your Genogram, open Genogram with GenpPro, then select the Print option, and chose " CutePDF Writer" as printer in the Printers dialog "Name" box, This will create a PDF file of your Genogram, and will ask you for filename, and where to save the file.

I just downloaded CutePDF and Ghostwriter and installed them both. However, when I open my genogram using GenoPro and click on print from the file menu it doesn't give me the option to use "CutePDF Writer." Is there anything I can do differently to get this to work? Thanks for the help!

You "print" your family tree into a .pdf. Simply select PDF995 as your printer and PDF995 will prompt you the filename to save your .pdf.
