I have been interchanging family tree information with a relative using Genopro, but now he is unable to open my .gno documents.

The only thing which seems to have changed is that my relative has had a new computer.

I operate with XP and he now has Vista. If its an operating system problem how do we interchange Genopro family tree information in the future ???

As a try out, he sent a file which worked on his PC, this also worked on my PC. I added new data and saved it, then returned it to my relative who failed to open it ????

Please help.

Vista has enhanced protection which could be the problem and is also fussy about where files are stored. Make sure your relative puts your file in the same directory as his own files. If this is not obvious then use search to find *.gno.
As you have worked OK in the past I assume it is not the obvious problem that files exchanged by Cd are write protected.
If this does not work, then what is the error message?

The message my relative is getting is :-

"Unable to read from storage", then it quotes a long reference to "C:\.........gno" followed by "The storage header is invalid. Genopro cannot continue because data format is unknown."

He is trying to contact Genopro himself, but there is an error message when he finally gets through to the support site.

I have his e-mail address if appropriate

Feel free to send the .gno file by email and I will take a look at the problem.
