So I've got a
Genomap
for the Smiths, and one for the Joneses. Bob Smith marries Mary Jones. I want both to show up as
hyperlinks
. If I create both
individuals
on each Genomap; then try to establish hyperlinks, I end up with duplicate people. If I just create the people on one Genomap; then
create hyperlinks
for them in the other Genomap; then try to link them as mates on the second Genomap; when I click on "link as mate", then point to the other individual, it just hyperlinks over to the other Genomap without establishing the mated relationship on the first Genomap. How do I do this?
THANKS!
Tom

The normal trick is to hyperlink
only
Mary Jones over to the Smith Genomap - she will become Mary Smith on
marriage
. If you wish to hyperlink both partners over to their spouse's Genomap, then, to prevent the duplication that you found, you will have to exclude one of the
family
(marriage) lines from the
report
. Go into the Family Properties on the relevant family line, and on the
Summary
tab click on 'Make
Label
/ Exclude From Report'.
