A small anomaly

1) With display optionDate af Birth and Data of Death (on separate lines)”

When dates of birth and of death are not in the same format, are displayed incorrectly:
Date of birth: 1797
date of death 02/06/1855

Date of birth: 23/03/1758
date of death
1828

However, if both dates are YYYY or MM / YYYY or DD / MM / YYYY, then show up properly:

2) Sometimes, inexplicably, the dates appear as:

Then, again inexplicably and randomly, back in the format DD / MM / YYYY
Of this fact i was never able to reproduce it intentionally!

Good Job!

This bug has been fixed, however no download available yet.  The bug was introduced in the last patch while trying to fix a rare bug however capable of crashing GenoPro.

There is still a problem with dates (version 2.5.2.7). I entered "~1936" in Date of Death, it updated correctly and also displayed the dates correctly on the GenoMap ("1974-~1936" in this example).

On the next occasion I displayed the tree, the "~" was no longer there (reverted back to "1936").

Crap!  The new code was not saving the ~ in the .gno file.  I introduced a new routine for the collaboration module to make sure all dates in the .gno files are stored in the English format (dd-mmm-yyyy) so there is no confusion, however this new routine was missing the code to write the approximation (~ < >Wink.

The fix will be in version 2.5.2.8 which will be soon.  I am currently working on the installer to better handle automatic upgrades and on a workaround to install GenoPro on public computers where users are not allowed to install software (GenoPro will install in the "My Documents" rather than in the "Program Files").

with version 2.5.3.7. appeared  again an anomaly in the display dates of birth and death on two lines: if there are two dates, all is well; if there is only the date of birth, shows the day and month on the first line and year  on the second line.

I'm sorry ..
