Hi Ron,

Upon running the latest version of the narrative report, I received the following message:

Error at line 8, position 2 (Code/IEForm.vbs): ActiveX component can't create object: 'InternetExplorer.Application'
    Microsoft VBScript runtime error 800A01AD

I assume that IE is not being opened for some reason.  My default browser is FireFox, but I also use Chrome and IE (depending upon which application I want to use - sad to say, there is no true standard anymore)

After waiting for at least 1 minute, I manually started IE, and that is perhaps when this error appeared.

Ideas?

The only time I have seen something similar was when IE for some reason wanted to prompt the user.  Then loading IE manually and dealing with the prompt allowed the Report skin to load the IE ActiveX Control, which is used by the skin to display the ConfigurationParameters dialog.

Otherwise I am unable to explain why it could not load IE.

I had the same error message, but when I opened IE there was a prompt that the last session had terminated unexpectedly which, as you say, probably caused the error. The configuration page then opened OK and the report ran with no problem.

Thanks,
I will trap this error within the script and output an error message with advice on the action to take to remedy it.
