Hi
please could some tell me the best way to illustrate the following:-
Elsie married David. David's brother Markus married Joyce. Albert is Joyce's brother, and the father of Elsie.
Thanks!

Just draw what you describe. It will probably look clearer if you move people and events to a date position. You may get vertical lines crossing horizontal, but there are ways (described on this forum) to show this.

Thanks for that.
I should perhaps have mentioned that both David & Elsie and Markus & Joyce have large
families
. It starts looking very messy when children are added onto both couples.

If the families are very large, separate them on to two separate
Genomaps
, and use the females to
hyperlink
between the two genomaps.
OR
Put the families next to one another on one genomap, and use the females to hyperlink. You can also draw attention to the sisters by using a different coloured display box for Elsie and another for Joyce, or use a bold coloured Relationship line to show that Albert's daughter Elsie is now married to David, and Albert's sister Joyce is now married to Markus. Click on Elsie as a daughter, press R to activate the Relationship, and then terminate on Elsie as the
wife
. Repeat for Joyce.
