I have a family member who I want to display as having a new secret. How do I use this function, it seems unclear to me?  I've been looking for a way to embed the new secret into the properties of the individual but I can't seem to do it. Do I just put the new secret symbol beside the individual and then add a text box explaining what the secret is??

Thanks for your help!

Yes. At the moment, the secret symbol is purely visual and unlinked to any object, such as individual.  This symbol was added to print genograms to show something is a secret, such as a secret child, secret relationship, secret job and so on.  Feel free to add a text label to describe the secret.
