I use
social relationships
for things like connecting a witness at a
wedding
to the bride/groom or for connecting tenant/landlord and similar uses. They provide an easily understood connection in visual form.
The problem is there is no pre-programmed description for most of the relationships I use. Are the descriptions hard coded or is it possible for me to edit some of the ones I have no use for to fit in with the type of research I do.
I realise I can use the Comment/Tool
Tip
and enter free text bout if it's possible for me to tweak the drop down menu then that would be useful (and save me typing).

The Social Relationship will be a free text in the next
upgrade
of the file format. There are just too many possibilities. Changing the file format now would break
compatibility
with existing .gno files.

Thanks for the reply - it's nice to know I hadn't just missed some buried setting/possibility.
