Is there any plan to deliver solution like cloud for family trees? I would like to share my gno file with family. In my opinion this should be easier for  group edition of our tree. Could we expect such solution in close future or should we research for other stuff?

Another question is, when can we expect GenoPro app for Android? I think that such application which will allow to browse trees stores in GenPro Cloud should be very useful!

Hey Mr. Grandmaster,

why make it so complicated. Browsing an existing tree on the internet with the mobile tool (phone/tablet) would be a wonderfull start givin the user the abillity to show and explain without needing to get access to a net connectet desktop or laptop!
Just for browsing it cant be that complicated!

I think we are writing at cross purposes. It depends on what you mean by sharing your genopro file. If you mean let other people see your tree and the information behind it, that is available now. A report written online contains the tree and a link to download the gno file. If you are a GenoPro customer you can use their server. To see the report you only need access to a browser.
The project I mentioned is to allow other people to add information to the database. There are a whole range of issues to sort here, including control, ownership, management and safety.
Your comment about other forms of access has been raised before. It is not a simple fix. GenoPro is based around a screen display and handhelds work in a very different size and way. I have manged to get GenoPro working on a Linux netbook but that is because there is a well established method (Wine) to get Windows programs running in that environment (with a few bits that do not work) As far as I know there is no Android Windows converter. So if your handheld does not have a browser you can not see the results.

Hi stubbern! You have to realise that this question has been asked many times since already 5 years; but ther is little developer  Nagging-John-Geno sitting in his corner and staring at these dump users. How can they dare to ask!

If I put my tree up in an on-line report, can anyone see it or can I restrict access to my family members or few friends only. Do such friends and family have to have bought Genopro themselves.

An on-line report is a series of web pages and so anybody with a browser can view it.
You can exclude living people from a report and also password protect it on the GenoPro server.
I have two versions of my family tree online at Familytrees Genopro. A public one which excludes all living people and a password protected version for the family

Using my name and birthday without my permission.....

If you find yourself in a published familytree you have to approach the author(the small yellow envelop in the header) of that tree(not GenoPro) and ask him/her to be removed. However it may take some time to be removed also from Google search pages. To have your comment about this several times in this Forum is not the right way and place!
