I am teaching a family psychology course at Newbury College, which I last taught Fall 2009.  At the time I had an academic account which I was told was a lifetime account.  I just retrieved the old email.  I was looking forward to using it with my class again this semester.  Do I in fact now have to purchase an academic account in order to use genopro with my students?  Please advise.  There are 30 students in my class.  As I looked around the support site, I was not able to settle my own confusion.  Can anyone set me straight?  Thanks

The professor apply and when you are approved as a referrer; this is for lifetime. This means you can use your email semester after semester without having to re-apply as a professor.

Then each semesters new students will be granted new free 180-day keys.

As a professor, you get a free 180-day evaluation key, like the students.  A user (such as a professor or a student) may request one academic key per year.

If I decide to not use genpro after 180 days, then can I register it in name of someone else? I am a car accident lawyer

Yes.  If you have a different email address, you will get a new 180-day evaluation key.  Our server gives one academic key per year per email address.  In the worst case, just write to us and we will send you a new 180-day evaluation key by email.

Ok, thanks for the prompt reply. I wasn't aware of the email address concept.

If you had an academic license from 2009, it’s worth noting that GenoPro’s academic accounts were typically tied to specific institutional agreements rather than lifetime access for individuals. That’s probably why your old login isn’t working anymore.

For teaching, the usual setup is that the school or instructor requests an academic site license, which then allows all students in your class to download and use GenoPro at no extra cost. Since you have 30 students, the best option would be to contact GenoPro support directly and request an updated academic license for your course. They’re usually responsive and provide instructors with a free license key for classroom use.

So no, you shouldn’t need to purchase individual accounts for your students — just reach out to GenoPro with your course details and they’ll guide you.
