Is there any problems importing Genopro files from the old free edition
to the current paid-for edition? Any limitations?

Short answer is - no.
If the latest program does not recognise the file it will give instructions on how to
download the program
version that the file needs. You then save as an
xml file
which the present program will read.
This is not often necessary, so just try it

Hi, I worked on a
genogram
back in 2006 and now that my oldest daughter is working on her
family tree
, I wanted to show her what I had. I am having a hard time accessing it with the
new version
of GenoPro. I tried downloading an older version to see if I could access the file but I was unsuccessful. Have file ending always been .gno? The
files I do find
have a different ending to them, they are ._.DS_Store and also .UGED, can you please advice on what to do.
Thank you,
Erika

Your .UGED file is quite possibly a
unicode
Gedcom file
from the MacFamily software for
Apple
's MacOs and not from Genopro. Try renaming it to have a .ged extension and then see if Genopro can open it. The ._.DS_Store file is a MacOs system file.
As well as .gno files GenoPro also uses .xml files and a proprietary .ged format to store its data.
