Hi,

Since more and more of us are getting into genetic genealogy, it might be useful to start adding support for integrating some of this information into GenoPro. For example:

  • y-DNA and mt-DNA information (which could then automatically set and display the same result for a whole line, when entered into one individual)
  • Linking of individuals with raw downloaded DNA results (from 23andMe or FTDNA)
  • Eventually, perhaps the ability to actually analyse and browse the DNA data, and link it to individuals in the tree (for example, clustering parts of my X chromosome with particular admixture results, then looking at the probable origins of my MM and MFM, you could hypothesise that some parts of the X chromosome come from each of those two individuals)
I am new to genetic genealogy and I am sure I don't know all the possible applications of it, but it is also moving very quickly, and I'm sure it will only become more important. It would be great to be able to integrate this into GenoPro.

Mark
