Hello,

I a new user and recently upgraded to latest version.
Another family member is also working on their family tree and we want to share files.
The unfortunate issue is that they are using the latest version of Legacy
How do we excahange files

Use the Report Generator and use the Gedcom skin. Make sure that you have downloaded the latest skin from
http://support.genopro.com/Topic25071.aspx

The .ged file can be imported into Legacy. It normally reports 'errors' which are data in GenPro which are not used by Legacy.
Normally a gedcom file does not contain images so these have to be copied separately; it does contain links to the pictures.

Legacy can also export gedcom files, which can be imported into GenoPro. However the display is not a gedcom feature and a large file can be difficult to untangle.

If a small part of the tree can be extracted in Legacy and a gedcom created there then this can be opened in GenoPro, using File Open  and change file type to GEDCOM. This can then be copied and pasted into your tree
