To Support Staff My Gen Pro 2011? was bought for me as gift, number years ago 2012? I cannot find the license key details. The system says I am on Version 2.5.4.1, I appear to be going round in circles with my requests to get my key back? I am prepared to pay the ($15) to upgrade Gen Pro 2016 if needed. I am now 84 and would like to renew my interest in family research. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Best Regards

Hi John,Do you know the name of the person who gave you GenoPro? If so, I can locate your registration key and copy & paste it to your account.

Hi
Thank you for replying to my request, I am afraid I do not know the name. The software was given to me as a birthday present from a group of friends. I think for my 80th birthday. I am now very bad on names, wish I had written them all down years ago. How time passes when you are having fun! Sorry I am not being much help, I will go along with what ever you suggest. |

There is a possibility that you could be able to view and retrieve your registration key from the forum website. You could try the following, and see if it finds a registration key for you. When you are logged in to the forum, click on the "My Profile" tab on the bar to the right of the "Welcome xxxx (Logout)" text
Then click on the "GenoPro" tab to the far right of the tabs list (you may need to click on this more than once, as sometimes this will come up with an empty screen)
When the tab responds with your profile information, navigate to the "Registration Key" section and click on "Manage", this will show your registration key or keys if you have more than one, and which version of GenoPro the key is for. (Version 2.5.4.1 is the last GenoPro version for the GenoPro 2011 key, )
Alternatively, if you have GenoPro installed on a PC, run GenoPro, click on "Help" on the top line, then "About GenoPro", which should show your registration key, if your copy of GenoPro has been registered,
(The GenoPro software seems quite good at finding a registration key from earlier versions of GenoPro installed on a PC, so if you have upgraded GenoPro versions,(even several time) the latest version will have picked up the registration key from previously registered version.

Hi Martyn
Thanks for your suggestions. I tried them and My profile only comes up with a list of temp keys that have been issued in my attempt to recover my paid up key. Looks like I will have to pay for a new key unless the Support people come up with a solution, being UK pensioner money is tight. But thanks again for your help. John

If you have received your key as a gift, feel free to use the Account Recovery Wizard and write the name and/or email of the people who sent you the gift. We will do a database lookup and try to find your key. Your key for GenoPro 2011 is permanent and you are welcome to use GenoPro 2011 without have to pay any extra.
