I have a relative in my family tree who has three children - each by a different father. How would this situation be best represented?

I drew 3 family lines - one for each respective partner+child combination.

I'm also curious about the best way to represent an adopted parent. I haven't found any examples of how they're best represented. Obviously, the birth parents are more important (in my opinion) than the adoptive parents.

Thanks for any tips

There is never a best way - just ine that works for you. I would use the position on the screen to indicate when things happened. Like this
