I have found how to indicate the end of the family line for a couple.
Is there any way I can put in an "end-of-line marker" for an individual too?
Very grateful for an answer.

Each individual has a field named "Childless" in the "Death" dialog. You can specify "Yes" to indicate the individual never had children.

Thank you so much for your very prompt answer! Impressive.

However, I cannot find the field name "Childless". All I can find is the list of Causes of death and the space for Comments. Am I looking at the wrong place - or do I have an older version of GenoPro (1.91b) - or am I just a bit stupid at the moment? Also - can one mark living individuals as childless?

If I download Beta, will that affect the trees I already have, i.e. will the 1.9 version disappear - be replaced by Beta 12?

The beta installs itself in a separate folder.

yes but any editing you do with the beta might not show up in the older version

perhapse ( not trying to be rude) that if your not fimilar with how beta testing works you should stick to the current offical release

i would hate to see you lose any work

if you do go ahead make sure to burn a copy of everything you have to cd before installing the beta

So far I haven't found this beta to be destructive in reltions with ver.1.x...
In fact it makes a copy of saved file in v.1.x format...

...but safety copy is always a good thing to do...
