With all the questions I've asked on the forum in ONE visit, I can't believe I'm volunteering my opinion, But, I think a "stepchild" link would be great. So many families today are the "his, hers, and ours" kind. It would work well if the children weren't legally adopted; but then, maybe I'm too new to genograms to know.

Here is a tough one: How do I create a stepsister, where I do not know if the one biological parent is the father or the mother?

Another tough one: (for when the programmers are bored......)Mother has child out of wedlock(boyfriend/one night stand), which is then brought up by her mother(child's grandmother)as a surrogate (not adoptive) mother, while the mother then marries and has her own & husbands in wedlock children. Is there a way to correctly show this scenerio. Note the grandmother had seperated from her husband and brought the child up alone. Thanks Mike

I have a mother with a child born out of wedlock and when the mother married and emigrated, the daughter was raised by her widowed mother, while the mother had a new family in a different country. One parent adoptions would be very handy

The option to clearly define "stepchild", in my opinion, is extremely important. There are some people who prefer to be clearly recognized as a stepchild, and not a biological child. This would be extremely helpful. Thanks.
