I think that it is very important for people who make geno trees to know who were their ancestors and what they deserved during their life, so I decided to make a separate topic for the "Hall of Fames"

My father and my grandfather and me myself were officers in Armed Forces.

My father and Grandfather have Medals, Orders and other Signs. Besides that all of us have a military ranks.

Is it possible to add something that would show that...

As example I can propose an additional sheet where could be shown all what individual deserved during life. as sources - numbers of orders about conferment of the rank, with the order, military medal, signs for the best shooting or for the best sport achievement, named weapon (as a sword or pistol with the name of the individual). as addition to this record is a picture of the medal or weapon and/or the document which is always attached to the medal (honorable list or something like this). there can also be a place for description where this medal was deserved.

I understand that all of this can be entered in the Occupancy or Education but it is about Glory of the individual of the family and everybody would like to see it separately (I think so... ). It seems like Hall of Fames everywhere in the web resources or in the real life in the Castles...

Thank you very much for such a hard working with the program!

While I don't know of any medals in my family, the idea sounds nice if you take into account the possibilities of trophies, say for sport events, or titles of sorts, like "south-bavarian curling champion of 1900" or "employee of the month".

Basically, that is to say that I second the idea. It would be nice to have, but probably too late for 2.0 I guess...

Whatever picture you have in your table layout, can be embedded in SVG images using the text label. The SVG image can be opened in Inkscape and exported in png format including those embedded pictures.

@maru-san: did you post in the wrong topic, or am I missing your point here? Blink

As I understand you want to show something somebody has achieved. This can be done by words or by showing images of the achievements. These images can be embedded in the SVG image. This will make a better demonstration for visual display.
