At present it is only possible to hyperlink an individual.  I would like to see this extended to the point where you can select a group of people and there relationships, such as marriage, and the whole selection would be hyperlinked.

At the moment I have had to copy my family onto my wif's tree so that when it is printed out our family are included on her tree.  I would really like to put my family onto both my mother's and my wife's mother's tree, but each time I copy the family it's more places to remember to update any infomation.

I know that I can hyperlink individuals but you can't hyperlink the relationships, and this information needs to be copied as well.

Perhaps I am missing something in the way the hyperlinks work, but I haven't foud a way to hyperlink my family group as yet.

I do not think it is possible to hyperlink groups, and I am not sure if the family line can be moved in this way.

What I have done is to move one parent to a new Genomap and then the second and join them as mate, ie create a new union. A trick that I picked up from this forum is to check one of the 'Make Label/Exclude from Report' boxes on the Summary tab of the Family Properties menu. This stops the report generator saying there are two marriages.

You can then move the children and link them to the Family line. A bit long winded, particularly if you have many to copy.

I have used this technique where I have grouped people by location and it shows how families moved around

This thread almost ties in with a dilemma I have been puzzling over for several days now as well....
....My quandary is as follows:

I have about 30 Genomaps in my .gno file. The first person in the new Genomap is hyperlinked to the "master" Genomap. I can't seem to easily link any children to this "first person" in the new genomap. I don't want to hyperlink the spouse from the original genomap because even if I check the 'Make Label / Exclude from Report' box, the output on a GedCom file shows the marriage (and the children) to the 'new person' and also to an 'unknown' person.

Is there some easy method that I have overlooked?

Cheers,
Jack

GenoPro 2007 can only hyperlink individuals. See conversation Internal Hyperlinked Families for further details.
