I am trying to upload my first
tree
onto 'familytrees.genopro.com' by using WEB
Publishing
option
, but I get the following
error
:
HTTP Error 0: - perhaps check network and/or firewall settings...
My default browser is Opera and I know there are outstanding issues with using Opera to view a tree (my collapsing alpha list problem), but I am wondering whether there may also be an
FTP
problem if in fact GenoPro software uses a browser to do FTP.
I have tried turning the Windows firewall OFF but the same error is encountered.
Any ideas??
Thanks

You need to enable the
cookies
on Internet Explorer. GenoPro uses your internet connection to upload to
http://familytrees.genopro.com
, and the cookie-management are controlled by the Internet Explorer settings. GenoPro needs cookies to provide a session for continuity between HTTP requests (uploads).

Thank you, Thank you. The upload worked fine, and the
page
loaded nicely and even the alpha lists collapsed just fine. But wouldn't you know it, when I loaded the page the second time,my collapsing problem returned (under IE 6.0). The little
triangle
icons fail to load so it seems that there is incomplete transmission somewhere. So the collapsing of the Alpha lists only works CONSISTENTLY under Firefox, is intermittent under IE 6, and FAILS completely under Opera (my favoured browser). Could this also be related to IE settings or maybe my dialup speed is a factor?
I will live with the collapsing problem, but thanks for solving the uploading problem.
