In Report Generator: What should I do to get "John's Wife is Jane" instead of "John's partner is Jane". The couples are legally married and it would be nice to see 'Wife' or 'Husband' instead of the word 'partner'.

When I am splitting a family tree into sub-trees, say John's family, in the report generator when I look at John's details (after splitting), it shows up as "John's partner is ." instead of "John's partner is Jane" before the split. Further down in the report, it shows up as "John's family with <Unknown>:" instead of "John's family with Jane:" It happens only to the person who is split up with a hyperlink.

I tried doing several things like delete, cut and paste but it doesn't seem to work. Please help!

1) Which Genopro version and which skin are you using?
2) Have you input these fields?:

Without further details of how the family was split (screenshots always help) it is difficult to give a precise answer. However, if John is deceased it is possible that the living partner/wife is being excluded because of the settings in the Privacy tab of the Report dialogue - see below:

If this is so, either uncheck the box for 'Remove All Living Individuals' or check the box 'Keep Names'.

Thanks for your reply. I was actually using a very old (free) version of Genopro. I downloaded the latest one and everything seems to work fine in the report. Two questions: What are skins? are these the colors of background appearance? In the Genomaps, how could I have a different text color for hyperlinks, please.

1) Skins are basically 'Report Templates'.
You can create '\customized' skin(s) from the built-in Genopro skins. See http://www.genopro.com/help/report-generator/customizing/
for a brief help explanation.
Note: You can also use the 'New Skin...' button on the Rep Gene panel to create a new skin.
They allow you to customize your reports (changing a particular phrase for example). They also allow you to translate skins into other languages, based on the built-in EN skins.

2) To my knowledge, the Individuals Hyperlink highlight color (presently blue) is not configurable as a bulk. You will have to open each Hyperlinked Ind Property panel and play around with the color pickers of the Display tab.

I am not talking about the Individuals Hyperlink highlight color (presently blue). When I generate a Report, the genomaps generated have all black color text for names, including the hyperlinked individuals. I wish the hyperlinks could shown in a different color. Thanks.

On my reports, all my Hyperlinked Inds shown on the SVG graphics are shown in BLUE.

Post a screenshot!
