Hi. I would like to propose a useful feature:

"Color-coding", or filtering of individuals through border outline and/or border fill colors.

This is most useful when different colors are used for each generation of the family tree.
With the proposed feature available, it would be a whole lot easier to highlight and/or select these certain individuals to be shown in, for example, the table layout for display, assign new/existing source(s), etc.

'Double Click' on an individual or group of individuals and select the 'display' tab.

Colour or outline the selected members as desired. Smile

Ok, it seems I was mistaken in giving the term.

Forget color coding, but what I really meant was the filtering or choosing of individuals having a certain color fill/border.

Filter green fill color, for example, to either highlight, or show in the table layout the individuals with green fill color.

I already have placed green fill color in my generation, yellow to my parents', blue to my grandparents', etc.
This feature will be most useful to check, choose, and edit those with the same generation, since the autoarrange feature does not always align the family tree in terms of generations.

This is already possible through the Table Layout > Individuals... menu. If you right-click on the Column Headings, and select Column Properties... you will find towards the end of the list that any of the Display Colors properties can be selected for display. Clicking on the column header will then sort the column. Select as appropriate, and if you have the Auto Select box ticked, the selected individuals will be highlighted on your genogram.

Oh, I didn't know color existed in the table layout!
Many thanks for the info. Don't mind this suggestion.
