How to make auto arrange make that extra little "T" line from parents to children? It doesn't always do it. (i.e.: how do I COMPEL auto-arrange to make an upside-down T from parents to children, with children dropping down from the bottom of the inverted T as opposed to directly from the marriage line between the parents?)

The auto-arrange is a completely automatic process, and there are no options to modify the procedure. There have long been promises to make improvements, but there is no sign of any changes.

As far as I can tell you get the inverted T when the family only has one child and the other format where there are more than two children.
Agree that the plain version is preferable and you have to use the mouse to convert back. In fact avoid automatic arrange

I've been using GenoPro for years now and not visited the forum for almost as long but I was about to ask a very similar question and thought it might be best to add it here...
I also want the inverted 'T' shape to connect from the parents to more than one child (as opposed to individual lines for each child). But I always add kids manually, one at a time (is there any other way?) and have to get the same effect manually by moving the lines, adding corners to them and arranging them to look as I want which is very time consuming.
So, any way to select multiple kids, hit a button and have GenoPro combine their lines in the way described by '731819' in his/her original post above?
While I'm here...
There hasn't been any updates to the software for quite a while now - has it been abandoned or is it now considered perfect

There is no automatic way to achieve your requirement. I suggest you post your requirement in the Suggestions, Wish List and Feature Requests section of this forum, together with a picture for clarification.

Thanks for the reply.
Actually, after I posted my message I couldn't shift the nagging feeling that I'd found a way to do what I want very soon after installing the software but forgotten it so I had a play around and I think I found it. I haven't tested it extensively (to make sure it doesn't interfere with bits of my tree I don't want it to change) but...
It seems to work when I select the parents and their children and simply hit the 'AutoArrange Selection' button.
Result!
