in the export->export to text format

if you uncheck any of the boxes of items to include the second you click off or to a different item the box goes back to the default of checked.

Never ever felt the need to use this export function but just gave it a go and noticed the effect you describe but if you then switch to one of the detail tabs and back to the summary the check boxes are back to what you would expect them to be. Huh!  Haven't tried actually exporting yet Rolleyes 

Need Dan to comment on this.
