Thank you for your prompt reply. Using the Move function has solved my "master" record requirement; the appearances of aliases of the same individual with a different ID# in the Individuals Table Layout is bearable. But it has generated another problem if I delete an existing individual and replace it with the same "master" individual "Move"d from another GenoMap. After relinking all the child, mate and parent links, the Family Properties of the moved individual show now the children twice (with the family rank 1. 2. 1. 2. in case of 2 children e.g.). Is there a way to remove the unwanted set of children (the same happens also with the mate) or did this happen only because I inserted the moved replacement of an existing individual into an existing tree? And would thus the only solution be to redraw all the GenoMaps starting from scratch again.

If you move the children to the second GenoMap you can then Right click and link as child to the father. In this case they will only appear once in the family list. There are a few oddities that can crop up, so see what else needs changing

I've a similar problem on how to setup a hyperlink?I've two genomaps: Genomap1 and Genomap2 Genomap1 has parents: MaleA and FemaleA and a SonA. SonA is a hyperlink to Genomap2. In Genomap2 SonA has WifeA and they both have 8kids and their children etc. etc., In Genomap2, I would like to setup a hyperlink for WifeA back to Genomap1 and link her as his wife. How do I link WifeA to SonA, once I am in Genomap1. I tried (in Genomap1) linking to SonA as mate/spouse; but when the report is generated it thinks that SonA and WifeA are two different people and generates two reports, for each of them. When clicked on WifeA, it says twice: Details of WifeA's family with SonA Details of WifeA's family with SonA Same thing when clicked on SonA: Details of SonA's family with WifeA Details of SonA's family with WifeA How can avoid this, and setup a neat link please without two details.

You are almost there. On GenoMap 1 double-click the Family Line to open up the Family Properties, select the Summary tab, and click the check-box against "Make Label / Exclude from Report". You will then find the duplicate marriage will not be reported.

I'm just looking through the Wish list and found this topic. I have to absolutely agree with user Galuban (and his post from 13-May-2008). Maybe I'm wrong as I'm not so familiar with the newest versions (so correct me please if anything changed from the 13th May 2008), current ways how to arrange what Galuban asked is quite difficult and very easy for making mistakes. So question to the development team, is it on your to-do-list to have "paste special with link" or "hyper-link together" integrated to GenoPro please?
