If you have got your data in separate files, try this for starters. Open the two files of husband and wife, which by default will show 3 tabs for different displays. Copy all of the data from one file and past it into a separate blank tab. You can of course rename the tab eg the family name. All you have to do is link the displays: easy he says, having never done this action.
I suggest using the Move to GenoMap facility to take either husband or wife to the alternate display. Open the properties to check the data is the same in both versions of that person. (This is the big advantage of having data in one file. Although you will end up with having two versions of the person in the file, they will always be identical. It is so easy to get alternatives out of sync).
Where was I? At this point delete the existing parent drom the family line; select the other version; right click and link as parent. Repeat for spouse.
Hope this works. Do not forget the change to the family line. Not sure if it needs editing on both displays
