In the skin Version 2014.12.12 now superseeded with Version 2014.12.17 the PDF cannot be generated:
"Remove the PDF GenoMap facility. GenoMaps in the report are now SVG only. All modern browsers now have good SVG support and so the original requirement for PDF versions is now redundant. Therefore Inkscape no longer  needs to be installed."
The generated PDFs were very useful to quickly produce a printed sample of the genealogy, and this could be easily distributed. I will miss this facility very much and will be left with the options
  • keeping a old skin version (version 2014.06.14) for the sole purpose
  • dabble with SVG generated files through Inkscape (import SVG Then export in PDF)
  • use wkhtmltopdf to generate the PDFs.
I like none of these solutions but would still prefer the former one. I suppose it would not be a big effort to restore and keep the option to generate PDF Genomaps in the updated versions. I am not convinced I will be the only one missing this facility that seems to have been withdrawn with too much haste.

The easiest way to create a PDF copy of your GenoMaps is to install a PDF printer driver, such as PrimoPDF, and print directly from GenoPro.  NO report generation required. This also gives flexibility in page size, page orientation and page tiles if required.

I am sorry but the switching interface between PDF and SVG was complicated and would have had to be re-worked because of other necessary changes in 2014.12.12 + .  Display of PDFs in a browser is haphazard to say the least depending on the browser used and default PDF reader.

And hey, I guess you can print SVGs as well Hehe
