In the new arrangement will it be possible to create custom events?
Currently I use an external method to cope with the data I need for census records and then merge the genopro and local data together, although sometimes I have an
image
to hang things on this is not always the case.
Also being able to drag one or more
individuals
on to an event and then assign roles would speed creation.

Events are intrinsically shareable so multiple objects (individuals,
families
,
organizations
) may reuse them. For instance, a census record, a group picture, or a scanned document, are all events and multiple objects may be assigned to them. Some events have a special flag they are not shareable, such as a
birth
and
death
event, however multiple roles may be assigned to such an event. For instance, a birth event may have the following roles: doctor,
nurse
, midwife, dula,
witnesses
, etc.
As for custom events, there is an optional field name 'type' which the user (you) will be able to customize.
