Is there a way to enter date of birth and/or death as a range?

I know I can approximate (i.e ~1880), but what if I want to, and can be, more specific (i.e. 1878-1881)? Or what if the range is a lot larger (i.e. 1860-1900) making a ~[date] misleading? Does Genopro have functionality for this?

You can put any text you like into a Date field but if not recognised as a date format it will not be used in any calculation e.g. for age.

GenoPro adds a pink background to the field to indicate unrecognised date format but still stores it

Oh, thanks! I saw the box go red and assumed it wouldn't accept the entry.

Two follow-up questions though...

1. Is there a way to prevent it from converting to date format? (Say I want to enter "1880-1", just because it's more compact than "1880-1881" or even"1880-81". I keeps changing to "01/1881" though.)

2. How to make the "Date of Birth and Date of Death (on separate lines)" display work with a red-boxed date entry. (If I enter DoB "1880-81" and DoD "1920", I get a single-line display of "D. 1920")

1. "1880-1" Just will not work, no matter what you try. "1880-81" will work, however.

2. The only way I can get it to work is if you include the dates of birth/death in the Comments section, and click to display comments. If it's separated on different lines, it'll show then.
