I would find it useful if I could:

- Hold down some key to constrain an object's motion either to the horizontal or vertical direction when repositioning it with the mouse

- Reposition a selected object or group of objects using the keyboard arrows (possibly with key combinations to specify large, medium, and tiny movements)

- Activate a "jump-to-grid" function when dragging objects with the mouse, so that the object would move at intervals larger than pixel-by-pixel.
