I am unable to upload photos from the family tree on my computer to my webpage http://familytrees.genopro.com/ralphballard

I am using GenoPro 2007 and have tried uploading the photos a number of times using the Report Generator with the English Narrative Report skin.  I have checked that the Web Publishing details are correct.

I am able to successfully generate reports saved on my computer which do include the photos.

Is there something specific I need to do to enable the upload of the photos?

Thanks,  Ralph

Have you unchecked ' link to all files from my computer' under the Options tab of the Generare Report dialogue? This must be unset for GenoPro to copy the photos to the web site.

Yes I had this box unchecked.

I have just tried uploading the report again.

It uploaded 7 photos this time (instead of uploading only 2 out of 507 previously) then got stuck and displayed this error message:

Could some of the photos be too big and need reducing in size?  If so I can get on with this with Irfan Viewer.

Thanks,  Ralph

I had the same problem, Ralph.

However, all the photos that I had tried uploading that failed were over 1MB. I reduced them and uploaded them via the report generator with no problem.

Thanks Jack.

Your suggestion worked.

In fact I found it best to keep the photos under 300kb for ease of uploading.

Ralph.
