Hello, I recently received an email from a woman who wanted her husband to be removed from the online report. I did so and uploaded the changed version. The surname no longer shows up in the list on the left. The problem is, if you type in the full html address of the old report page it still shows up and is probable still searchable on google etc. How do I perminantly delete those unwanted pages? This woman is adamant, I want to fix this asap. Thanks. Heather M Lloyd

If you want to delete only one or two pages, you are welcome to send me the URL and I will delete those unwanted HTML files. The other option is to download our FTP Client. This tool is very small (100KB) and will allow you to login to your account at http://familytrees.genopro.com and upload / update / delete specific files. The other alternative is to rename your username from 173279 to Heather. Search engines will have to crawl again the new report and will 'skip' the unlinked files.

Hi Heather, Glad to help. I would suggest to rename your username to Heather. This way, your report would appear as http://familytrees.genopro.com/Heather/ instead of http://familytrees.genopro.com/173279/

The publication http://familytrees.genopro.com/414570/Kooistra/default.htm should have been automatically removed when you changed your username, however for some "unknown" reason, the publication was not renamed/deleted. I manually deleted the publication http://familytrees.genopro.com/414570/Kooistra/default.htm

Hi, Using your FTP Client was easy Google still shows that there is an entry, but I think that when they refresh their database then the entry will disappear. Do you know how often Google refreshes their databases? Thanks, Terry K.

I am also having the same problem. My family tree: http://familytrees.genopro.com/StevenJannie/default.htm should no longer be accessible via the internet, but it is. I cannot delete this tree in the control panel, the collaboration tool, or the ftp client as it does not show up there. Please help! Thanks in advance.

I have just clicked the link you give and get no result. If you try on your own machine the system might be producing an old copy from the cache. Try clearing the cache to check if that is the answer
