Genopro arranges remarriages differently (and IMHO with more confusion) than how M. McGoldrick et al does in Genograms: Assessment and Intervention.
Using this video - Divorce - Second Spouse - Mark is placed to the left of Christopher. In McGoldrick's book, Mark would be placed to the Right of Jeanie. When you have a few remarriages on both sides, the Genogram starts to look like a plethora of same-sex unions (as related to me by one of my adult clients)
Is there a way to ensure remarriages resemble the format used by McGoldrick?

I do not know the reference you give, but GenoPro can arrange the Genogram how you want to show; it just has to be done manually. Personally I prefer to move the family (marriage) line to show the explicit sequence, some thing like this
