Is it possible to publish something like development plan to the future, like public TODO list?:-) For example I'd like to know if I can look forward to work with selections through hyperlinks. :-)

I'd welcome it as well. Unfortunately not all companies all over the World thinks about it, even if it is great PR for them and for core users (for example this tool is very usefully used in game industry, like Development Diaries)...

I've talk with Dan yesterday about GenoPro and future plan. He is well enthousiam to work on GenoPro, he is planning to get GenoPro fully unicode (UTF-8) with streaming technology to allow open bigger document and supporte all characters that cause problem.
To increase development speed, GenoPro will also drop support from Windows 95, 98, Me and NT4 and they are old operating system. People on those version won't get the new update. Windows XP will be the "base" for testing.

Jean-Claude The things you mention are obviously important to get right as they are the foundations of the project and if things are wrong here, or out of step with the OS, then there is trouble. However you do not mention things of direct interest to the user. I would like to see database features such as dating of data entry, so you can track the history of the project. Also we would like to know when the collaboration version (?Gamma?) will be available for testing. I have tried PhpGedView as the obvious alternative but would prefer to use GenoPro. There are other systems that could be used for collaborative research but they tend to tie you in to a commercial site with annual fees to keep up. Just hope GenoPro does not get left behind here.

Hello, any news about new versions of Genopro?

In the request for information, in addition to the collaboration version, I would also add the unification of individuals duplicates. In general, an information also small, on the near or distant future of GenoPro, it would be greatly appreciated.

Is GenoPro dead project? No new version almost one year. It's time to search for another genealogy software.

Almost a year since the last inquiry on this. I'm really hoping this software isn't dead. None of the "big" brands of genealogy software do more than 50% of what I need, and GenoPro covers 90% of it. It would just be nice to know that the remaining 10% is being worked on (support for BC dates and different calendars is the biggest thing on my list, although being able to remove or change the preset definitions of the border and background colours would be VERY nice).
Edit: fixed missing parenthesis.

Dan's last update on the development of GenoPro is here. I'm sure many of us can make suggestions for improvement, but they are unlikely to happen in the near future.
