Hello again all,

I was wondering if there is a way in GenoPro to find all records that have non-empty "Name Suffix" fields (or any other specific field that might not always have data). The situation is a large genogram with several lines of royalty, and I have apparently fouled up on the numbering (in the "Name Suffix" field) somewhere. The easiest way to find out where would be a filtered table layout view containing only those records with non-empty "Name Suffix" fields, and then to sort first by the suffix, then by the first name. This would allow me to spot any errors in sequencing with minimal effort, but I don't see a way to filter the table view. If anybody can help me out, it is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Smile

Open up Table Layout - Individuals.  Make sure 'Name Suffix' is visible if not right click on column headings, then 'column properties' and tick 'Name suffix' and OK.  Click 'First Name' heading to sort in first name order, then click 'Name Suffix' to sort in 'Name Suffix' order.  At the top of the table you should now have all records with Name suffix' sorted as required.  If sort order is wrong direction click headings again.

Just joined to say thanks for pointing that out genome, I've been wondering how to do it for ages.
