I just realized that now that there are other Union Types available than Marriage, Engagement is still missing! Engagement (and maybe some other Relation-onlys as well?) should be there alongside with Commitment Ceremony and Other, because I feel this is the right way to keep record of the dates from Meeting thru Engagement until Marriage. Up till now, Engagement date is totally neglected.
What say you? or is there another plan for this?

You are right. I took a note of it. Adding is not as simple, as the report generator has to be updated too.

I forgot to mention I cannot add new items to an existing list for compatibility reasons. The Engagement [ceremony] union type will be added in the next major release.

Is this feature forgotten? This is important because many young couples are engaged and it is wrong that generated report speaks about marriage.As long as 'Engagement' is selected in the Relation box on the General tab of Family Properties, then the generated report will reflect that the couple are engaged. However, there is no historical record of this or any other relation that is not available on the Unions tab, so your suggestion is a good one for the purpose of recording the dates. Perhaps the Union tab will require renaming, as it implies some sort of 'joining' ceremony, which does not often occur these days for engagement.
