Probably the GenoPro folks are aware o Geni.com and it´s collaborative editing system. It´s something to look forward...Geni.com still full of glitches (no intra-family marriages by example) but it does show how to provide a relatively nice web viewing system for trees, which you guys should pa attention...
This is a technical issue. Is it odd to have Acrobat Reader to see a .pdf, or SVG viewer to see Scalable Vector Graphics, or a web browser to view HTML pages?
GenoPro is a tool to draw family trees and genograms. Most of our customers are genealogists or professionals drawing genograms for therapy and/or medical use. We have corporate customers feeling so strong to save the data in a central database, that they are requiring to disable the Save button and remove features to publish online for data safety. Putting all the data on the web is a nice idea, however it is not made for everyone. Many prefer to have their data on their local disk.
