Thanks for this report. This function has been broken in FireFox for some time and this new error gave the me the clue to the solution in both browsers. A simple change to script.es fixes it. Change line 202 to

centermap(mapX, mapY, mapHighlight);

and also remove line 154. If you are not in a great hurry for this it will be in the next update. (I am trying to finish off some changes to Simile Timeline addition before then).
