My idea is for:- individuals (ex Albert Einstein), add a pane with "Life Events" (working like Famyly/Union)
- Event's date : Event's label (ex: 1905 : relativity theory)
- by default these would be displayed in individual report's TimeLineView (TLV)
- have a check box to omitt their display in TLV
- have and "add" button to add an "infinite" number of events by individual
- Genopmap itself
- same idea at the genomap level (ex: 1918: WW I; 1937: WW II)
- labels displayed on an unique but separate Time line

Along with our plans to support events, we will also add World Events. Such World Events will includes several categories such as politics & wars, technology breaktrhough (steam power, electricity, ...), natural disasters and more. We will offer a mechanism for people to share those events and classify them by importance. This way, someone could download our "Event Database" and pick the ones he/she prefers to include into his/her family tree or timeline.

This way, someone could download our "Event Database" and pick the ones he/she prefers to include into his/her family tree or timeline.when is this planned to be implemented? I think this is one of the main features I will be looking for. Will there be an option for custom events, rather that fill in the blanks for EventX or EventY??

Another feature that would be usable for the events would be a flag to use the date of the event to make it as an "Anniversary" so it could show in the new calendar report.

Would there be a way to link Events by Place, for example, for anyone in my family tree from the island of Chios they might want to see:
-1822 Rape of Chios
-1881 Earthquake
-1912 Chios joins Greece
etc
but members of my family from the rest of Greece or other parts of the world may not be interested in that information.

Any news in this topic? It would be nice to have a tab as the one of education and occupation for other type of important events in an individual life that could also be shown as anniversary.
For example the day of one's saint. Or the date of ordenation of a priest, winning some prize or recognition, or any major fact that could be relevant for an individual.
