I am creating a medical genogram to document history of diseases in the family. How can I display "hypertension," "diabetes," or other such medical information underneath an individual's symbol?

Is there a way to add a customized symbol to the already created toolbar? Example: add an icon for migraines (circle with lower right corner lime green) Or can we change the name of an icon to bettter fit our family profile? Example: rename HIV/Aids with migraines

Just create a Text Label nearby the individual you wish to display additional information.  With the Text Label, you have the freedom to fine tune the exact position of the text, its text layout (how many lines you want to display the text), font size and color.
